Guam - Talent Box recently sponsored a 3-day dance workshop for some of the island's youth and adults at the Guam Reef Hotel. Hawaii's Josh Ulep and Casey Kalahiki of HYPE 5-0's dance crew conducted the workshop. The two dancers were on America's Best Dance Crew Season 5 and had a chance to tour some of the island's schools promoting active and healthy lifestyles.
Ulep told KUAM Sports, "We're enjoying ourselves and we have been to all the different schools around Guam. We basically been looking out and see what Guam has to offer and let me tell you man I don't think the rest of the states are ready to see what Guam has to offer because we have been seeing so much talent from little kids all the way to adults. People here are just so talented, it's amazing."
Both dancers are here for 10 days teaching our local performers new and up to date dance moves. They said that they are excited to be here and can't wait to get back home to spread the word about the trip and come back with the rest of their crew next time.
"Guam has been showing us a lot of love, we came out here and we were on Season 5 of America's Best Dance Crew and it's Season 6 now," Kalahiki said. "And we kind of feel like were dying down but we came out to Guam. People are showing us so much love and we feel like we just got off the show and it's such a good feeling for us and such a treat for us to be out here and it's so good to see all of these kids out here."
