Guam - The initial design work for Phase I of the construction of the new Guam Regional Medical City in Dededo began today, and according to Guam Healthcare and Hospital Development Foundation president and chairperson Peter Sgro the group plans to launch their formal strategic recruiting and retention plan next month.
The plan includes a campaign called bringing our sons and daughters home by reaching out to those currently practicing outside of Guam with family here to return and practice locally.
Phase I of the Guam Regional Medical City is planned for a total of 130 acute care beds, 20 intensive care beds, 18 bassinets and six incubators. Groundbreaking is scheduled for September.
