DOCOMO's ringback services, launched today, offering tens of thousands of ringback tones for customers wanting to take advantage of this new technology, so let's see just how easy it is to use.

Logon to DOCOMO Pacific's MAX Portal on your wireless phone, where you'll sign in with your 10-digit cell phone number and password. Once you're granted access to the ringback page, the sky's the limit. After choosing the type of phone you're using for the ringback tones, simply browse through your favorite songs by list or genre. No worries though tech fans, I'm sure you'll find the songs you're looking for, I did.

After finding the ringback tone you'd like to use, select "assign" and choose the number or contact you'd like to apply the ringback tone to. If you don't see your entire contact list pop up, you can simply create a new contact and apply the ringback tone from there. You'll be able to assign one ringback tone for all callers, a specific caller or a group of people. On the other hand, you can also do what I did, apply the ringback tones for all the cool people that call me, like my wife, my brother and my best friends.

Don't forget to monitor your purchases because applying ringback tones can be contagious, but even if that happens, you can set up a play-list of ringback tones so they shuffle every time someone calls you. That's too easy.
