Tsunami Warning for Guam canceled

by Jason Salas

Guam - Shortly after 10am on a very tense morning, the Tsunami Warning issued for Guam by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center was canceled.  Tidal waves are no longer projected to be a threat to Guam, but officials still highly urge island residents to take extreme caution around Guam's waters.

Likewise, the closure on all public beaches and parks has been lifted.

A High Surf Advisory, which was issued by the National Weather Service for all north- and east-facing beaches and reefs, will persist until Tuesday at 11am.
