GW topples JFK in boys hoops

Guam - In boys high school basketball, the George Washington Geckos played host to the visiting JFK Islanders.  Eric Santos hit a baseline reverse lay-in for 2 points for GW while JFK's Zion Amador knocked down a three from the corner for the Islanders first score of the game, getting his swagga on.

Jayme Saperna put up a game-high 29 points for the Islanders who exchanged point for point with G-Dub through out the first quarter of play. Raymark Mariano put up 14 for the Geckos. GW held on for the win at home, 77-60.  Valiant Borja led the way with a team high 19.

In other action the Okkodo Bulldogs took it to the Notre Dame Royals 94-52, Guam High defeated Harvest 69-18. With the win the Panthers improve to 6-0 on the year. The Sharks stay unbeaten on the year as well with their 49-36 win over the Father Duenas Friars.
