Guam - 13-year-old Troy Austin Toves Cruz enjoys motocross racing, basketball, volleyball, football and working out. He attends San Vicente Catholic School and currently holds a 96% grade point average. Troy is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, Student Council and is the sergeant at arms (class representative for 7th grade).

He told KUAM Sports, "I like to play sports because I like to be with my friends and I like to help my team win championships. I enjoy the sports and I want to get better at it and hopefully become a professional."  Troy has been racing bikes since he was 4 years old and has traveled to represent the island in China, the Philippines, Saipan, Rota and California.

He added, "My favorite fruit is going to be an orange and my favorite vegetable is broccoli. It's important to eat your fruits and vegetables because it gives you good nutrition and it keeps you healthy and makes you live longer and it gives you energy for sports and all that."  Troy plays basketball for the Barrigada Crusaders and for his schools team, along with volleyball. He played football since he was 6 for the island saints but has his eye on basketball.

He said, "I want to get more championships while I'm still here and play college ball, high school also and then maybe make it to the NBA someday."
