Glenn Leon Guerrero leaving the Port

Guam - Another government director is calling it quits.  Last Friday we told you about Public Works Director Larry Perez's resignation, as he will be the executive vice president of operations at GTA TeleGuam.  And today KUAM News confirmed that Port Authority of Guam General Manager Glenn Leon Guerrero is stepping down.

The executive's departure is one of several in recent years as the position was previously held by deputy Joaquin Cruz who resigned, Ken Tagawa and Carlos Salas who was eventually moved to the airport.  "This is something that I have given my blessings with to Glenn. This is something that he has a great opportunity to go back into the private sector and pursuing his career," he said.

Although the governor is aware of Leon Guerrero's quitting, he hasn't just yet given his final resignation.

As for a comment from Leon Guerrero, he says he has not stepped down but is weighing his options for what the future holds when the current administration comes to an end.
