Frank Mesa's trial pushed back to January

by Mindy Aguon

Guam - Retired assistant fire chief Frank Mesa was scheduled to go to trial today, but the matter was pushed back until next month.  Mesa pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of theft by deception and official misconduct.

He's accused of billing the government for work he never performed at the Guam Fire Department, while he was instead working at the Transportation Security Administration.  Jury selection and trial are now scheduled to begin on January 27.
