GAIN ready for National Animal Shelter Week

by Janjeera Hail

National Animal Shelter Week begins this Sunday.  The campaign promotes the invaluable role that local shelters play in the community.  Guam Animals in Need staffer Ray Hiroshi is inviting the public to come out for a kickoff event this Sunday.

He said, "The shelter's going to be open up to the public and we're going to have a BBQ for everyone that comes up and we're doing that to recognize the employees, volunteers, and the community."

The festivities start at 11am.  GAIN also wants to remind the public that, if you're thinking of making an addition to your family, please consider adopting.  There are so many great, loving animals in need of a home and of course, please spay and neuter your pets. It's a small step you can take to reducing Guam's stray pet population.
