Guam Guard: no units in Fort Hood

Following today's shooting at Fort Hood, spokesman for the Guam Army National Guard, Captain Ken Ola, says the Guam Guard does not have any units currently training at the Army base in Texas.  He says the Guard is still researching whether there are individual soldiers on Advanced Individual Training, Military Occupational Skill Qualification, or other training on the Texas base.

Officials have advised that if you are trying to get a hold of friends or family in Fort Hood to please do so via text message, as phone lines are extremely saturated and are needed for emergency workers.
