If you plan to hit the beaches this weekend, keep in mind that the Guam Environmental Protection Agency has deemed 24 beaches as polluted. They are Tanguisson Beach, Dungca's Beach, East Hagatna Bay through Alupang Towers and Trichera Beach, Padre Palomo Park Beach, Adelup, Asan Bay and Piti Bay.
Also included are Santos Memorial Park, Outhouse Beach, Togcha Beach, Agat Park Beach, Bangi Beach, Nimitz Beach, Umatac Bay, Toguan Bay, Merizo Peir, Inarajan Pool, Inarajan Bay, Talofofo Bay, Togcha Bay and Tagachang Beach.
Swimming and fishing in these waters could cause illnesses such as sore throat and diarrhea.
