Trades Academy hosting safety workshop

The Guam Contractors Association's Trades Academy is running a workplace safety course for the Chabot Los Positas Community College District to provide the Occupational Safety and Health Administration numbered courses for Guam. The training covers OSHA policies, procedures, standards and general industry standards and health principles.

Instructor Terry Badley says it's vital to provide these courses because safety must be put first. He told KUAM News, "It provides a knowledge for supervisors and employers and so forth on how to protect their people from getting hurt while they are doing their work for them."

Badley added, "The bottom line is safety does improve productivity."
