The George Washington Geckos won the battle of unbeaten after handing the Guam High Panthers the 40-7 loss at home. GW's running game was on track, using their ground game to pound out first downs and keep the clock running. The Geckos led 12-0 after the 1st quarter of play, getting a score through the air and another on the ground.
Stephen Santos had a big game for G-Dub finding his way into the end zone 3 times with big credit going out to the linemen. G.W'S line pushed up front and sealed their blocks to help Jesse Manglona, Calvert Alokoa and Mitchell Quinata pick up chunks of yards on the ground. Quarterback Derek Santos played his part in the win getting the ball to his receivers and going in for a quarterback sneak to help with the cause.
Guam High's Devon Jacobs and Star Motley managed to put up decent numbers on offense while Rome Tenorio held it down on defense for the Panthers in the losing effort. Jesse Manglona rushed for 85 yards on 15 carries for the Geckos, who improve to 3-0.
