The Guam Police Department has confirmed the island’s 18th traffic fatality following a deadly auto–bicycle crash early this morning on Route 14 by Hornet Sports in Tamuning.

The victim has been identified as 30-year-old John Carlos Daniel Yangco Haas. Officers from the Tumon Tamuning Precinct Command responded to the scene at around 2:12 a.m., where the victim was found lying on the roadway. He was transported to Guam Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased at 3:45 a.m.

Guam Highway Patrol Division has taken over the investigation, which remains open.
