The Guam Power Authority Announces that a preventative maintenance outage affecting a portion of Barrigada is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025.

The outage will last from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Barrigada, Bello Street and surrounding areas. 

GPA Line crew will be installing two new 45-foot concrete poles and relocating power lines.

GPA makes system improvements and conducts preventative maintenance to avoid future power outages. 

In most cases, the job can be done with no impact to customers; however, sometimes the power needs to be shut off in order for the crews to work safely. 

Isolating power lines is necessary for safety precautions. 

If you have a generator, make sure your main breaker is in the open position for the safety of our line crew, have a plan for alternate power source for electrical medical equipment, charge all cell phones, and minimize opening refrigerator and freezer doors during the outage.
