An investigation by the Guam Police Department is underway after the discovery of a deceased woman in the courtyard of Guam Memorial Hospital Saturday.

According to information KUAM received, the woman had been to the emergency room around 12 pm and was discharged shortly after.

Sources tell KUAM maintenance staff later discovered the unidentified woman unresponsive in the hospital courtyard.

Guam police were called to the scene around 5 pm.

GMH has not yet released any official information on the incident.

GPD confirmed that detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division are investigating.

Police spokesperson officer Berlyn Savella stating, “An investigation is currently underway, and further details will not be disclosed at this time as we await the medical examiner's report."
