Christopher Theisen will not be the next executive director of the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation. Theisen has withdrawn his acceptance of CUC’s offer for the job due to contractual issues, according to a statement issued by CUC.

Theisen was offered the position with a $200k salary in February.

“Unfortunately, while agreeing in principle, CUC and Mr. Theisen were unable to agree on the final terms of Mr. Theisen’s employment contract, and thus have parted ways,” a CUC press release stated.

“While we are disappointed that Mr. Theisen will not be joining us as Executive Director, we respect his decision and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” Janice Tenorio, CUC Board Chairwoman, added. “We remain committed to finding the most qualified candidate to lead our organization and continue our mission of serving the community.”
