A manhunt is ongoing for a suspect wanted in connection to the shooting in Maite that sent a 14-year-old girl to the hospital.

Guam police confirmed the suspect is Mesemwan Repwak, 31, who is also believed to have been involved in multiple violent crimes reported over the past several months.

He is also believed to be involved in gang activity and may be actively recruiting members.

“Repwak is trying to establish a street gang,” said police Chief Stephen Ignacio. “We need to shut that gang down and keep our community safe. One of the things associated with this gang is the color green. This is probably the early formation of a street gang led by a very dangerous individual.”

During a press conference held Wednesday afternoon, police said Repwak is suspected to be armed with a pistol.

Investigators said he is known to drive a GMC Canyon, believed to be a 2016 or 2018 model.

“He is known to change the color of the truck and would buy spray paint at the hardware store and paint the truck a new color,” Ignacio said. “The license plates are all fraudulent.”

Authorities add Repwak constantly changes his hair color, which investigators believe is currently blue.

“We have a duty to protect our community and we are appealing to our community to flush out Mr. Repwak so he can be held accountable for his crimes,” he said. “We are now appealing to the community for your support and your assistance. To you those who may know of his whereabouts and are in anyway hindering or harboring his apprehension be warned that if we establish probable cause…you will be held accountable.”

Anyone with information is asked to call GPD dispatch at 671-475-8615 through 17.

Authorities add information as to his whereabouts can be submitted anonymously through the Guam Crime Stoppers at guam.crimestoppersweb.com. All tip Information will remain completely confidential and a cash reward of up to $1000 could be paid if the Information provided leads to an arrest.
