The alleged getaway driver accused in the deadly armed robbery in Tumon has been indicted by a Superior Court of Guam grand jury.
Twenty-six-year-old Stefen Keanu Camacho is charged with complicity to commit aggravated murder and complicity to commit robbery, both with special allegations of vulnerable victim enhancement.
The indictment comes two weeks after the deadly shooting that unfolded on Gun Beach road.
The incident left a Korean tourist dead.
As KUAM reported, Camacho and Keoki Santos drove to Tumon on Jan. 4 with an alleged plan to rob tourists.
The alleged robbery was planned after the pair apparently lost $100 while gambling.
Camacho allegedly admitted to police that they approached the couple who they spotted walking in Tumon when Santos demanded for the woman’s bag and struggled with the male victim before he heard the gun go off.
Santos died by suicide the night authorities were about to take him into custody.
Camacho is scheduled to answer to the charges before Magistrate Judge Benjamin Sison next Thursday.
