A 58-year-old man died last night at the Guam Memorial Hospital marking the island's 125th COVID-19-related fatality. According to the Joint Information Center, the man had underlying health conditions and was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 23. 2020. He tested positive for the virus upon admission.

“Although many of us felt relief when we began our vaccination process, we cannot forget that this virus is still among us and continues to pose a real and serious danger. Jeff, Lt. Governor Josh, and I extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to his family and friends," Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero said. "May you find comfort in the memories you have and in the support of an island that mourns with you.”

Today, the JIC reported 17 new cases of COVID-19 out of 440 tests performed Thursday. Of the cases, four were identified in quarantine and two through contact tracing. 

To date, there have been 7,474 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 125 deaths,
129 cases in active isolation and 7,220 not in active isolation. And today's car score is 1.2.
