Bernard Marquez Marasigan, 43, was arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman known to him.

Police responded to the incident on Oct.12 where the victim said she was packing to leave and Marasigan threatened to kill her if she did.


Court documents state he then allegedly grabbed her by the hair yanked her toward him, wrapping his arms around her and squeezing her until she was in pain.

He then allegedly swung the victim's face into the concrete wall and then began to strangle her, biting her left pinky and punching her in the face.

The victim tried to escape several times and eventually did once police arrived.

Court documents state that at the time of the incident, Marasigan was on felony release for Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance.

He was arrested and charged with one count of Terrorizing as a third degree felony, one count of Family Violence as a third degree felony and a Special Allegation of Commission of a Felony While on Felony Release.
