It was a scary moment for some hikers Monday evening. At 6:29 p.m., the Guam Fire Department's E-911 Center received a call from a group of four hikers at Sigua Falls. A flash flood had separated one of the female hikers from the group leaving her clinging to a rock.

GFD Spokesperson Kevin Reilly said GFD Rescue units 1 and 3 along with HSC 25, coordinated by the U.S. Coast Guard responded to the incident. HSC 25 personnel were able to hoist the female hiker and transport her to Naval Hospital. The remaining three hikers were located by GFD Rescue units and escorted back to the trailhead.
