Self-proclaimed 'El Chapo of Opioids' is former Guam resident

A former Guam resident and Class of 1992 Valedictorian of Simon Sanchez High School was busted in New Jersey.


Our affiliate NBC4 in New York reports that 45-year-old Robert Delagente faces federal charges for allegedly distributing opioids such as oxycodone, Percocet, Tylenol with Codeine, among others to individuals without legitimate medical reasons.

According to the story, Delagente called himself "Candy Man" and "El Chapo of Opioids." The former Guam resident is also accused of falsifying medical records to cover up his actions.
