Sex abuse proof of claims against church must be filed no later than August 15

Posted: Updated:

Guam's Catholic Church has sent out notifications about an important deadline for sexual abuse proof of claims that must be filed with the clerk of the District Court of Guam. According to court documents, if you believe you have a sexual abuse claim the form must be received by the court by no later than August 15 at 5pm.

The forms must be filed even if you filed a lawsuit against the archdiocese alleging sexual abuse, even prior to when it filed bankruptcy in January.

More than 200 people have filed child sexual abuse cases against the Archdiocese.
