kNOw More Conference to train on sexual assault

Next week the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence is holding its 2019 kNOw More Conference.

Lt. Dawn Jones will be on Guam to conduct training on Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, and Sexual Assault Prevention. She has been in law enforcement for more than three decades. The conference also includes Project Catalyst Training of Trainers session

"Our trainers are coming out to support the work of our domestic violence advocates as well as with the Department of Public Health and Social Services with their community health centers to provide training to address domestic violence and health care professionals," Cynthia Cabot of the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assualt and Family Violence said. "And looking at opportunities in being able to recognize those who come in with medical needs and being more aware of domestic violence and intimate partner violence that happens and for the most part it's would also be for those cases that probably would go unreported." 

The kNOw More conference is scheduled for April 24th -25th at the Sheraton in Tamuning
