Legislature will consider agency, board appointees next week

Posted: Updated:

Senators set the agenda for next week's legislative session.

Twelve bills and a slew of agency director and board appointments were approved for debate during a rules committee meeting Thursday.

One of the bills would ease the residency requirements for ownership of a cannabis testing laboratory. Another would exempt any land claims payments from being attached by creditors.

Some of the appointees that will be voted on are Samantha Brennan for the Department of Corrections and Ike Peredo for Customs and Quarantine Agency.

Appointments that senators said they would move on the session floor are Stephen Ignacio for Police Chief, Esther Aguigui for Adjutant General of the Guam National Guard, and Lester Carlson for Budget Director.

Session is scheduled for Monday morning at 10 a.m.
