KUAM News has learned that Paul Santos Mafnas, Jr. has been moved to Post Six in Mangilao. This is the maximum security unit.

Although detainees typically are held at the Hagatna Lockup, KUAM News has learned because of the severity of his crime and because he was a previous inmate he was moved to Post Six for security reasons.

Mafnas was arrested over the weekend. According to court documents he admitted to kidnapping and sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl last Thursday.

The repeat sex offender held the girl at gunpoint and sexually abused her. He allegedly admitted, "that sexually assaulting female minors is an addiction of his that he can't resist."

Mafnas is being held on $250,000 cash bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 25.
