Jury selected for Tenorio trial

Posted: Updated:

A jury has been selected in the misdemeanor trial against former Lt. Gov. Ray Tenorio. He is charged with reckless conduct and official misconduct in connection to last year’s gun grabbing incident in Tumon. The island’s former second in command is accused unholstering a Guam police officer’s weapon at the BBQ Block Party.

He’s since apologized and called it a “teaching” moment for the officer.

It took two and a half days for the jury of six to be selected.

Opening statements begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Superior Court of Guam.
