Search ongoing for suspect in overnight chase

It was a late night police chase in central Guam.

It ended in Sinajana, where the darkened scene was lit up by flashing blue police car lights.

The chase started along Marine Corps Drive near Asan Beach Park around 11:30 p.m. Officers attempted to pull over the driver of the pickup truck when he sped off. The suspect led authorities on a chase towards Agana Heights. It ended in Sinajana after the driver crashed at the corner of Mendiola Lane and Calle Tutujan Avenue. The driver took off on foot leaving a minor passenger behind inside the truck.

More than a handful of police cars responded to the incident. At last check, police say the search for the suspect is ongoing.
