Cell phone, charger found on inmate

Posted: Updated:

An inmate is caught with contraband following a surprise search at the prison's post 5 unit on Sunday. Scott Martin Flores is charged with promotion of major prison contraband. DepCor's special operations response team conducted the random search over the weekend.

Court documents state it was during a strip search of the suspect that officers found a cell phone, a travel charger, and a charging cord apparently hidden inside the inmate's underwear.

The suspect later admitted to owning the device.
