Four women charged for allegedly forging checks

Four women are accused of trying to cash multiple checks that were apparently found in a garbage bag.

Thelma Arriola Gumataotao is charged with five counts of solicitation to commit forgery, Diana Doris Reyes is charged with two counts of forgery, and Priscilla Ayuyu Cruz and Barbara Reyes are charged with forgery.

Court documents state the first alleged forgery happened in August. One suspect is accused of forging the victim's signature on at least two checks, cashing out $300. The second check was declined. Then, just last week the same victim received copies of multiple forged checks from her bank. Investigators were able to identify the suspects and made took the suspects into custody.
