Posted: Updated:

With Arbor Day this week, The Department of Agriculture's Forestry Division, Department of Parks and Recreation and their partners are celebrating all month long, kicking things off with a planting of native trees at the Dededo Skate Park.

Christine Camacho Fejeran with the Guam Forestry Resource Division explains this year's theme, Let it Grow, telling KUAM News, “The theme is trying to get everyone that message of let's plant trees...not just trees, native trees. So we have a variety of tree planting events schedule throughout the month. "

The tree planting event takes place on Tuesday, October 9th. For more information, you can call 300-7977/5.
