Leaders declare Constitution Day, Constitution Week

Celebrating 231 years of Liberty.  It was on Sept 17th, 1787 that the United States Constitution was adopted. Presiding Judge Alberto Lamorena and Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio led a proclamation signing at the Judiciary to declare Constitution Day and Constitution Week on Guam.

Lt Gov Ray Tenorio said, "We all can appreciate the freedoms. Everyone of us have endeavored to stand behind the principles and stand behind those who sworn an oath to the constitution, who vow to uphold democracy, and making sure we abide by the foundations our four fathers created for us."

Lamorena added, "Constitution Week provides us with the unique opportunity to promote public understanding and appreciation of the importance of the US of America constitution by doing outreach and education program to Guam school's by judicial officers, attorney's and law clerks."

Activities will be held throughout the week leading up to Constitution Day on Monday, September 17th.
