Guam Police Department officers from the Dededo Precinct Command arrested a 19-year-old man and took a 16-year-old boy into custody in connection with a riot caught on camera.

A viral video has circulated showing several people along Amantes St. in Dededo in the alleged riot. At least two people in the video appear to be wielding machetes while another runs through the street with a bat.

In the viral video, a man recording the event identified himself as a police officer, however, the man is a law enforcement officer with the Navy’s Security Forces and not GPD, according to a department release.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested 19-year-old Emanuel Reselop from Dededo for aggravated assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

The minor was taken into custody for criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and conspiracy. He is now confined at the Department of Youth Affairs.

This case is ongoing as additional suspects have been identified with a portion of the case forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution, according to GPD.

This story is developing.
