Typhoon Warning cancelled for Guam, NMI

The National Weather Service has cancelled the Typhoon Warning for Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan. However, Guam as of 8:30 this morning remains under Condition of Readiness (COR)1. The Joint Information Center warns that gusty winds will continue and could reach up to 35 mph at times.

Island residents are urged to stay off the roadways to allow for emergency personnel to assess any damages and clear the roads. 

Meanwhile a small craft advisory and a high surf advisory are in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan until 6:00am Wednesday.
