Better young men, better Catholics, and better prepared for college. 29 students at Father Duenas Memorial School were awarded scholarships in a ceremony held at the Mangilao campus on Friday.

FD Endowment Foundation President Felix Reyes said, "FDMS Scholarship Benefactor Representatives, including the FD Endowment Foundation will be presenting 19 scholarships to 29 deserving recipients totaling $54,822 today. Each scholarship has unique requirements and embodies the FDMS' mission, which aims to prepare young men for college, foster and develop their faith and leadership in service of the Guam community at large."

A scholarship was also recently created in memory of the school's late Principal Tony Thompson who passed away back in April.

That scholarship amount was for $1,000.
