Anita Arriola to speak on women’s rights at AAUW meeting

The American Association of University Women Guam Branch will feature Attorney Anita Arriola at its Sept. 8 meeting.

Arriola will speak on “Promoting and Preserving the Rights of Women – The Importance of Roe vs. Wade.”

According to a release from the Guam branch, “Arriola has been a tireless advocate for women, taking a case to the U.S. Supreme Court and Winning for the women of Guam.”

The AAUW Guam Branch works to advance gender equality for the island’s women and girls through research, education, scholarships and advocacy.

The meeting is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sept. 8 at the Hilton Guam Resort and Spa. Tickets cost $20 for AAUW members and $30 for non-members, available at eventbrite.com or at the door.
