Witnesses say the unidentified man was walking along the road when the accident occurred. He was rushed to the hospital, where he is stable.
Two women believed to have been inside the car at the time of the crash were escorted into the back of one of the responding patrol units. However, no word of any arrests at this time. Authorities have the area closed off to drivers as they investigate the scene.
