It’s the 9th auto-pedestrian fatality of the year.  GPD’s Highway Patrol crash investigators were activated along Route 16, Army Drive Harmon, by Napa Auto Parts.

The preliminary investigation suggests that around 1:15 Friday morning, an operator of a silver Toyota Prius on the inner northbound lane struck a male pedestrian.

The man was rushed to GRMC where he was pronounced dead at 1:29 a.m.

No word yet on if speed, alcohol, or drugs were factors to the crash.
