School's out, but the learning continues underwater. Salome Vuki learns about Underwater World's Ocean Program for this week's Think Green.

Underwater World is beating the summer heat, starting soon with a camp starring fun, ocean-oriented classes and activities for children ages 5 to 11

Educational Associate Lisa Snodgrass told KUAM News, "So our first week is Crazy Coasts and those subthemes are going to be things like coral reefs, mangroves, waves, and conservation, as well."  The camp aims to teach kids about ocean wildlife and includes educational activities that support a greener Guam.

"And we're going to have a little beach clean-up. Kind of a fun game, how much trash they can find and what not," continued Snodgrass. Enter the summer with a splash, as Underwater World's summer camp for kids is kicking off this June by teaching kids how to think green.

"It's important to really teach kids this especially because...it's easy to kind of ingrain in their brains these habits that are good at keeping the ocean clean when they're young," she added.

Teach them while they're still growing, forms can be picked up at the UnderWater World ticket counter or online through their website and email.

The classes start June 25, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
