GCC's budget reduced

The Guam Community College met with senators to talk budget. Senators praised GCC administration for 17 years of clean audits.

However, due to the fiscal realignment plan, President Mary Okada says GCC is seeing a reduction in their budget by 15% that's $5 million less than last Fiscal Year and more than the 10% cut across GovGuam.

Speaker BJ Cruz says "I am at a loss of words, though we try to find ways to shield these programs, we haven't found a way to make it stick".

President Okada agreed finding a solution could help GCC, but "it's about expanding the funding base for the whole island".
