Freedom Air owner passes away

The owner of Freedom Air has passed away.

GVB President and CEO Nate Denight expressed deepest condolences to the family of the late Joaquin Lago Flores. He died on Monday. Denight states, "Flores strengthened the connection between Guam and the CNMI for nearly four decades serving the islands through Freedom Air.

GVB thanks Flores and his family for their commitment to offering expanded passenger services, cargo operations, search and rescue, medivac services and more since 1974 for the Marianas." Nightly masses are being said at St. Jude Church in Sinajana at 7pm.

Funeral services are scheduled for May 25th.

Flores was 73 years old .
