Governor Eddie Calvo did veto one bill, signed eleven into law, and let five others become law without his signature.

The Governor rejected Bill 145, saying in a news release that "it wouldn't be prudent to create another tax increase. He says the Telena Nelson bill to increase the conveyance tax on high-value properties by 360-percent could "hinder economic growth."

Among those signed into law was Vice-speaker Therese Terlaje's bill that allows for the immediate taxation of short-term vacation rental units, commonly known as BNBs.

A bill by Senator Joe S. San Agustin that transfers control of a lot in Tiyan to the Barrigada Mayor for recreational activities.

And, one of the bills the Governor let lapse into law without his signature was  by Senator Tom Ada's measure that rezones land in Dededo across from the Micronesia Mall for a new 180-megawatt power plant for the Guam Power Authority.
