Blogger Tim Rohr accused of abusing his wife, children

Court filings paint a very different picture of the man who helped expose the scandals in the local Catholic Church through his blog, JungleWatch. Tim Rohr now in the hot seat - accused of physically abusing his wife and one of his sons as well as sexually abusing at least one of his daughters.

KUAM News first brought you the story yesterday, and now these allegations surfaced as he and wife of 30+ years, Leone Williams-Rohr, battle it out for custody of their minor children.

His blog helped to expose predators among the priests.. Now, the blogger is accused of physical and sexual abuse himself. Amid his divorce with wife and their custody battle for their youngest children, some of his adult children have come forward with allegations against Rohr. The allegations, Leone reporting only came to her attention in October 2017.

A decision and order from Judge Michael Bordallo last month denies her motion to dismiss and to have the matter heard by the Superior Court of the U.S. Virgin Islands, instead of Guam. According to court documents, Leone moved back to the Virgin Islands with three of their children last year. She reports not wanting to come back to Guam due to Rohr's manipulation, lies, harassment, fear, bullying, and control.

She details being in an abusive marriage claiming Rohr boxed, kicked, choked, and stomped on her while she was pregnant, and held her upside down against the wall as she pleaded for him to stop. All of this, she alleges, occurred as two of their young children watched.

Affidavits from some of his older children also detailing abuse.

One of his adult daughters telling the court "I was molested by my father when I was 8 years old. It was early in the morning. He was sitting at the breakfast table, and I was standing next to him. He stuck his hand up my shorts and pinched my butt several times. Then, I felt his finger touch my vagina. I was wearing underwear."

The same daughter also recalling her father's abuse towards one of her siblings - a beating with the belt for several minutes because the child wouldn't take his medicine. Though the child screamed in pain, the affidavit states Rohr continued and the other children were forced to watch. Not only is he accused of physical and sexual abuse, but negligence.

"One of us older kids had to be at home because my dad had a history of sitting on his blog and social media all day and would not feed, bathe, or home school the younger kids."

Another adult child, court documents state, wanting to expose her father.

"The purpose of this statement is to show that Tim Rohr is not the wonderful Catholic family man that he pretends to be in public, on his blog, and on his social media accounts" and "uses Catholicism to manipulate us and keep our mouths shut from speaking against him."

Though unable to speak with KUAM as per the advice from his legal counsel, attached emails between Rohr, his wife, and his adult children state "The accusations against me by your mother made to you are all the evidence I need that she has used you to turn you against me. That's fine. I know what is true and what isn't and I am prepared to deal with that in court, if not eternity."

Former senator and contributor to Jungelwatch Bob Klitzkie tells KUAM, "Tim is a trusted friend, an honest man. He is one who has possessed great integrity."

Klitzkie adds, "That's the nature of divorce: It can be nasty and allegations are thrown around."
