Small craft advisory in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan

A small craft advisory is currently in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan coastal waters until 10 o’clock Saturday morning. The National Weather Service reports that a tropical disturbance that is passing south of Guam is expected to bring wind speeds of 19-29 miles per hour into Saturday morning. The highest gusts will likely be tonight and south of Guam, where there could be gusts near 34 mph based on the expected track of the system. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid sailing in these conditions.
