Bordallo echoes support for military buildup

Posted: Updated:

Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo responds to a resolution by Senator Mike San Nicolas supporting the military buildup. Bordallo says she too supports a responsible buildup, her stance she says for 15 years.

In a statement, Bordallo says she has worked hard to hold the Department of Defense accountable to its commitment to a environmentally-friendly, and culturally responsible buildup.

She adds that the concerns raised by Prutehi Litekyan - a group that is protesting the controversial live fire training range at Andersen's Northwest Field - are central to her commitment.

In a news release Tuesday announcing his resolution, San Nicolas criticized Bordallo for "not taking a clear position."
