Review board will convene in light of allegations against Apuron

The Archdiocesan Review Board will be convening in response to Roy Quintanilla's allegations made today that he was molested by Archbishop Anthony Apuron. In a statement, the Archdiocese of Agana notes deacon Larry Claros, who serves as the sexual abuse response coordinator, will be taking the lead.
The statement reads: "In the spirit of commitment set by Pope Francis, the Archdiocese of Agana affirms its commitment to upholding its Sexual Misconduct and Harassment Policy, and assures the Faithful that in light of the recent allegations of sexual abuse by Roy Quintanilla, dating back 40 years ago to Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish in Agat, that proper steps have been initiated, as outlined and guided by our policy. Deacon Larry Claros, the Sexual Abuse Response Coordinator has been informed and is coordinating a response, which includes convening the Archdiocesan Review Board.
We entrust ourselves to the Holy Spirit, who will lead us to the truth."
We should note that according to the policy it states "By virtue of his office, the Archbishop has ultimate authority over and ultimate responsibility for the implementation of the Archdiocese sexual misconduct policy".
