Guam - The Guam Police Department has released information regarding an incident that occurred this morning at a home located along Mariposa Lane in Liguan Terrace, Dededo.

According to police spokesperson officer A.J. Balajadia, the Superior Court of Guam's Special Enforcement Team was attempting to serve a warrant but heard what sounded like a single gun-shot wound from within the suspect's room, which was locked.

A perimeter was then set to secure the area and other units were called. Responding to the scene were the Criminal Justice Strike Force and officers from the Dededo Precinct.  Balajadia says after several attempts went unanswered by the suspect, CJSF breached the bedroom door.

The suspect was found non-responsive with what appeared to be a self inflicted single gunshot wound to the chest.  A weapon was recovered from the scene.
