Guam - Cope North is officially underway. The annual training is a US Pacific Air Force sponsored multi-lateral field training exercise at Andersen Air Force Base. It is designed to enhance interoperability among US, Japan and Australian forces. As part of Cope North 2015 the Republic of Korea, New Zealand and the Philippines Air Force are also participating.

In total there are about 2,000 service people participating in the training that not only takes place in Guam, but also in Rota, Saipan, and Tinian.

Cope North 2015 runs from now until the 27th. Island residents should expect increased noise and military activity for the duration of the exercise.
