Guam - Guam Election Commission executive director Maria Pangelinan says while there has not been any formal request for any kind of recount, the agency will conduct a different kind of tabulation for write-in votes.

"With the Election Reform Law of 2012, the Guam Election Commission is required to report on the write-ins," she stated, "so what we will do on Wednesday at 10am is we hope to get party representatives, five each, and we will sit them down at a table and have them start recording with the staffers, the number and who were written-in."

According to the unofficial results, the GEC has a total of 902 write-in votes for the numerous races. Pangelinan adds more than likely, the write-in votes will not make a difference in the outcome of the results.

As for Gary Gumataotao's statements following the election about an investigation into the results and cases of machines being tampered with, Pangelinan says the GEC's three new machines were "perfectly fine on Election Day." she adds if people do have questions on the machines or the results, they can always present them to the GEC.
